. . . and then some more . . . More life. More Jesus.

About Me

Hi there! I’m Brianna. But my friends call me Bria, and so now shall you because now that we’ve met, I’d call us friends!

So, I guess I should tell you a little about myself since we have this new friendship and all. I am a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, Who’s turning me into something amazing as I live and learn His ways. I have a whole lot to learn, though, as you will find in our time together. Struggling to be less full of myself is a pretty constant theme for me. I write a lot about the real living I believe God designed each of us to live.

I’m more of a God-looker-forer than a writer. (Also, I sometimes make words up.) Because I want to know Him so well that His grace and love and real life oozes from my every word, every action. So I chase Him by studying the Bible and write a lot about what I learn. I am a regular contributor at the Everyday With God, the daily devotional blog that you should totally check out if you’re looking for some structure in Bible reading. I also write at the Life Letter Cafe, a place where all kinds of bloggers join together to encourage Jesus followers.

Here we are. Cute, huh?

I am married to the love of my life who is truly the most abundant gift God has ever given me. Together, we have two daughters who teach me more about life than I ever thought I needed to know. God uses them a lot to get me over myself.

Here I am learning from my German friend-gift Elisabeth how to make schnitzel the real way.

We spent last year living in the Land of the Deutsch as expatriates for my husband’s work. We moved from Amishland in Ohio to the hills of Bavaria so we could learn about real life and let God strip us of all the stuff we didn’t know we relied on for comfort. Also, we like a good adventure. As soon as we got back in June, 2013  I seriously ate tacos like nobody’s business. I do miss the brats, schnitzel and beer of the Deutsch. It truly is just not the same here.

running

Here’s me in the first race I actually ran in. I can’t believe I’m showing you this. (I don’t like this picture. But hey, we’re buds, right?)

I am a wannabe runner. Real ones intrigue me. I have lots of friends who make me wish I could actually do it, but the only thing that’s gotten me to actually participate in races is the fact that I can help rescue little kids in Southeast Asia who would otherwise be sold into slavery. The idea of this moves me to the point where I find myself planning to run another race for Team Hope International sometime in the next year.

So there you have it — Brianna R Wasson on a page with words and pictures. I’m so glad you’re here. Can I ask a favor? Will you send me a note and let me know about you. I genuinely want to know who you are and what you’re up to. Find me on facebook. Or twitter. Or, better yet, shoot me an email and just say hi.

So glad to meet you, friend.

Truly.

I have been following your blog ever since your mother-in-law, (we’ve been great friends since fourth grade), shared it with me. God bless you as you share your walk with God with all who read your blog!

  3. Hey, I’m going to hunt you down at Allume (that sounds kind of stalker-ish doesn’t it?) because I like your blog and because I used to live in Bayern too! Murnau. How about you? Chus!

What do you say?
